Sunday Morning Discipleship

Beyond Worship:

Sunday Morning Discipleship at First

Extend your worship experience by being part of a Sunday morning class. In addition to our program for children and youth, we have 11 different classes for adults every Sunday!  In each, we focus on engaging God’s Word and enjoying fellowship with God’s people. These smaller “congregational communities” offer a home for sharing lives as well as learning. It is here that a true sense of community can be built. We have one class at 8:45 for those attending the early morning chapel service. Ten others meet during the discipleship hour between the sanctuary services. There’s one for every age, stage and taste.

Foundations     10:15    SB203
Kevin Landreneau & Hank Mills, Trading Up, an Andy Stanley teaching series on Mark 8
This class is a combination of 30-55 year-olds combining the Builders group with the Foundations group.  It is created to attract those who may be going to Sunday School or Bible study for the first time with an emphasis on the Scriptures, caring for one another and living out our faith.

Kingdom Builders    10:15  SB201
Laurie Adams, Jesus Reinstates Peter, John 21
This class is designed to equip you as parents to pass on the gospel to your children.  It is also a community of people, in Christ, who share similar life situations (i.e. drive mini-vans and watch tee ball, and yes, even if you're driving an SUV, it's just a mini-van with bigger wheels).  I hope you will stop by this Sunday and try this new class!
