Have you ever wondered about the history or theology of some of our most beloved Christmas hymns? How did “Joy to the World,” which is inspired by Psalm 98, become a Christmas song? We sing “Hark! the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn King,” but did that really occur in Luke 2?
Come sit around the fire and enjoy the warmth of fellowship at our annual Advent Brunch as we listen and learn about some of our favorite Christmas songs. December 14, 10 am-12 pm, at the home of Rosemary Beall (1452 Glenmore Ave.). Because the brunch is off campus, we are not able to provide childcare but we hope you will leave the kids and sneak away to join us! Feel free to bring a friend or two. $10 per person.
