Maria, a proud Texan fluent in both Spanish and English, has called Louisiana home for over a decade. She is a devoted wife and mother, blessed with two beautiful daughters and three wonderful “bonus” sons. Maria’s values shape everything she does, and she strives to live with kindness, compassion, and a sense of purpose in all aspects of her life.
In addition to her role as Ministry Support Administrator at First Presbyterian Church, Maria is also pursuing a degree in criminal justice, which keeps her quite busy. Her passion for service and belief in making a difference one person at a time are central to both her professional, personal and academic endeavors.
When she’s not balancing work and school, Maria enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Cooking is one of her favorite ways to bring people together and share her love with others. She lives by the motto, “teamwork makes the dream work,” and is always ready to support and encourage those around her.
