In our Presbyterian Church, we welcome children to partake with all of us at the table after 3 steps have been taken: 1) they have received baptism, 2) they have received training in the meaning of the Lord’s Supper (attended meeting with Scott August 23) and 3) their parents feel they are ready to say “yes” to Jesus as they eat of him and drink of him in the Supper.
If you believe your child is ready to take the step of receiving communion, we will have a short meeting at 10.15 am in Dunham Chapel Sunday, September 13 to approve those gathered to receive the Lord’s Supper in the future. This is a Book of Order requirement that allows our Elders to help with the spiritual oversight of our church community.
Please sign up by September 8 if your child will be attending the September 13 meeting. Parental attendance is required for this event.
