Beyond Worship
Each week, we gather in worship to hear the Word of God preached to our hearts. We sing of God’s glories and pray the words of Scripture over our lives and those we love. This experience of God in that sacred worship space leaves us wanting more. Thankfully, adult Sunday school provides the perfect opportunity to continue one’s quest to go deeper in Christ. Conveniently happening right after the 9 am service, we have several class options covering a range of topics that all provide wonderful connection with others. Lifelong friendships are often formed through Sunday school. So allow your kids to enjoy their own Sunday school time, grab a fresh cup of coffee, and enjoy the blessing of Adult Sunday School
PERSPECTIVES CLASS
Education Building, Room 202 – 9 am
Led by Dr. Kevin McCarter, this class explores the Word of God to gain deeper perspectives on God, the nature of redeemed humanity, and how believers are called to be salt and light in today’s world. With a longing for a fuller understanding of Scripture, the class engages doctrine, apologetics, linguistic studies, philosophy, and art—seeking not only to know God more deeply, but to reflect the beauty and perspective of his Word to the world. Come join Perspectives: Many Facets, One Light. Many Voices, One Song.
CROSSROADS
Sanctuary Building, Room 219 – 10:10 am
The Crossroads class, led by Dan Zito and Vince Gilcrease, is guided by thoughtful leadership that shepherds the group toward Christian love and spiritual maturity. With a strong emphasis on practical Christian living, the class has explored meaningful questions such as what it means for love to be the distinguishing mark of a Christian and how believers can pursue unity without compromising truth. Zito and Gilcrease seek to equip the saints to be heavenly minded while living wisely and faithfully in today’s world. The class is further enriched by the relational gifts of Bill Peters and Phillip Juban who help cultivate fellowship and prayer among members. The Crossroads class warmly welcomes all to share in this rich experience of walking together in Christian love.
KINGDOM BUILDERS
Sanctuary Building, Room 220 – 10:10 am
The Kingdom Builders class is beloved for many reasons: rich fellowship, a shared hunger for a deeper understanding of the Christian faith, and the welcoming presence of homemade treats and coffee for all who attend. Yet the primary reason this class is so highly esteemed is the exceptional teaching of Dr. Ryan Dickerson. Always well prepared and guided by a thoughtful, robust outline, Dr. Dickerson leads the class with skill, depth, and pastoral tenderness. Bring your Bible and a pen—you will certainly want to take notes and reflect further on what you learn in this class.
LEADER TRAINING
Education Building, Room 202 – 10:10 am
This class is open to all members and visitors, but is especially encouraged for those serving in the role of Deacon or Ruling Elder (provided they are not committed elsewhere.) This class provides a basic overview of church history, theology, and church government (polity), as well as a closer look at the Westminster Confession, our denominational statement of faith. We will be using material from the EPC training guide, which is a great overview of the Reformed Christian understanding of life and faith. Teachers will be a rotation of Pastor Scott, Darin, and Colton, as well as one of our Ruling Elders. All are welcome!
