Two New Exciting Sunday School Topics

Posted: 01/02/2025
As 2025 is now upon us, many are considering how they might grow in their Christian faith. Thankfully, we have wonderful Sunday school classes ready to challenge and equip you! Each of our classes offers excellent teaching, but two classes will offer new topics that might be of particular interest. The Crossroads class (Education Building, room 202 at 10.10 am) will study “A Case for America’s Christian Heritage” by Gary Demar. Beginning January 5, Judge Darrell White will take us on a fascinating journey that will consider how our nation’s original documents, from the Mayflower Compact to the Constitution, were constructed “for the Glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith.” Come explore how our nation’s founders repeatedly stated reliance on the overruling providence of God.

The second series that I encourage you to consider is Matthew Henry’s 17th century treatise on the godly life, “The Quest for Meekness and Quietness of Spirit.” This spiritually forming work will alert us to the focus of deliberately worshiping God. In our hurried and distracted world, to know the nature, excellence, and application of the meekness and quietness of Jesus will be nothing short of life transforming. The class begins February 2 and will be led by Denise Hatcher during the Tom & Jerry Class (Education Building, room 202 at 9 am. Note: this is an hour before our normal Sunday school time of 10.10 am).

As always, our other classes, Kingdom Builders, Journeys, and The Well will continue to gather and deliver excellent content and fellowship. So come out for Sunday school!
