Maria Barrera

Maria is a native of the big state of Texas and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She has lived in Louisiana for over 10 years and is happily married with two beautiful daughters and three handsome "bonus" sons. Maria's faith is an integral part of her life. Her belief in God guides her actions, and she strives to reflect his love and compassion in everything she does. She is thrilled to be a part of First Presbyterian Church serving as Director of Program Support. 

In her free time, Maria loves to travel and spend time with her family. She lives by the motto, “teamwork makes the dream work,” and is passionate about helping others. She believes that by supporting one person or one family at a time, we can make the world a better place. Maria’s heart for service, combined with her dedication and warmth, makes her an asset to First Presbyterian Church.
