Jay High

Director of Media, Technology and Facilities

Jay is the director of media, technology and facilities and oversees sound, lighting and video for services, special events and FPC’s theatrical productions. He also oversees the facilities and contracts on campus and keeps all the computers and the IT network running.

Jay is married to Angelle who sings on the contemporary worship team. They have two adult children, Landon & Micah, who both live out of state, as well as two adopted Chinese daughters, Anna and Rebekah, who are both in high school. Their family dog is John Calvin (how Presbyterian!), though Calvin thinks he belongs to Jay.

Prior to coming to First, Jay worked in the media department of a local megachurch, and then with LSU Residential Life media.

Before working in church ministry, Jay worked as a producer/director for a small production company in Virginia where he worked on series for The Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel (TLC).

Jay graduated from The Ohio State University as an Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineer, and worked as an operational test engineer, speechwriter, and satellite launch & operations officer in the Air Force. After his service time, he completed his Master’s in Writing and Directing Film and Television at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Jay also completed his associate degree in Business Management at Lorain County Community College in Ohio.

He loves spending time with family, raising fruit trees, the beach, the mountains, kayaking, fishing, hiking, pour-over coffee, cooking, making cherry bounce and taking pictures. Jay and Angelle have been at FPC since 2008 and love being part of this phenomenal church body! Whether helping us through the great flood of 2016, providing us many ministry opportunities to serve our Lord Jesus, or being helping hands and listening ears to the challenges of raising a special needs daughter, First has been a Godsend to our lives!
