Darin Travis

Darin Travis is the Associate Pastor for Discipleship at FPC. Raised in Indiana, he fell in love with Jesus his junior year at Purdue University. He became involved with Cru (formerly named Campus Crusade for Christ), and though he thoroughly enjoyed his engineering studies, decided the Lord was leading him to pursue collegiate ministry for two years after graduating. Those two years turned into a 20-year career with Cru, where he loved focusing on evangelism and discipleship. During his time with Cru, Darin served at Purdue, in Detroit, over the ministries in four states, and most recently, as the director for Cru's ministry at Louisiana State University. In 2002, he married Barat, who also became a Christian in college and was working with Cru. Together they are raising their family of five children and are passionate about engaging young adults with the life-changing gospel of Christ. Darin is thrilled to live out his passion for discipleship serving the local body at FPC.
